Martha’s Book Club + Workshop

Join me and podcast favorite, Kathie (and the inspiration for the “Martha” character), as we see what happens when we mix a book club and a workshop! In this five-week, online series, we will unpack themes from the book: the taboo parts of motherhood and marriage, feeling erased, “Dad privilege,” trying to save yourself, the elusive search for balance, and more. Equal parts humor and heart, we will explore how the main character’s journey relates to yours while offering validation, community, laughs, and perhaps some action steps for change. Kathie will bring her expertise at leading meaningful discussion, along with her hard-earned wisdom as a mother of seven. I will bring my honesty, ridiculousness, and love of conversation and connection. And don’t worry, we will both bring our love of a well-timed swear word.

We may not be able to flee to Vegas for a much-needed moms’ weekend right now, but this is the next best thing. 

Dates are five Saturdays: 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24 from 2-3:30pm Pacific time.

Cost is $25, which includes a signed and personalized bookplate (sticker that goes in the front of your book) by the author.

Virtual Book Clubs!

I am available to do a guest author Q&A at your virtual book club! Perhaps your current book club has read, or is interested in reading my novel, Adult Conversation. If so, email me and we will work out the schedule and details!

Don’t currently have a virtual book club, but want to participate? Create one! If you get the readers together, I will do the rest, such as host the call on my online platform, bring my very own discussion questions, and wear pants. Email me here and we will work out the details!

June 27, 2020 – Las Vegas, NV

I’ve got two separate events in Vegas, so grab some friends, secure childcare, and use seeing me an excuse to take a relaxing (or wild) weekend in Las Vegas – the perfect excuse to GTFO, just like the main characters from my novel do! Your trip can be filled with the bliss that is laying in bed with no one touching you, ordering room service, and watching TV, or going totally bonkers in Sin City. Your choice.

Vegas Event #1 ($65) 

“Adult Convo and Chill” VIP Event

Join parenting podcaster and author of Adult Conversation: A Novel, Brandy Ferner, for a VIP event at a secret swanky suite in the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, NV (where part of the book takes place) on Saturday, June 27 at noon-3pm. This is a casual meet and greet event where Brandy’s book and podcast come to life, and you’re invited! Guests will enjoy adult conversation (obvs), refreshments, light snacks, LOLs, an author Q&A, and structured dialogue relating the book’s themes to their own lives as led by Brandy. Attendees will receive a swag bag of sorts which includes a signed copy of the book and at least one totally ridiculous item (RIP Ridicklebox). THERE ARE ONLY 25 SPOTS FOR THIS EVENT! Register ASAP so you don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind event. **There are no refunds for this event due to the swankiness (cough expensive cough) nature of the venue.
